The Scottish Borders are a golfers paradise and we have many golfing parties returning year after year to stay in our holiday cottages which are centrally located giving great access to all the area’s best courses. Golf bags and trolleys can be kept in your holiday cottage or we have a secure lock up facility in an adjoining barn if you’d prefer to keep them out of the way over-night.

There are many other superb courses in the area including two well known Championship courses at The Schloss Roxburghe and Macdonald Cardrona, both designed by Dave Thomas and both around 20 minutes drive from Melrose.
Other favourite local courses include, Minto, St Boswells, The Woll and Torwoodlee.
Approx 30 minutes drive away are The Hirsel, Innerleithen, Peebles, Hawick, all very good too.
A little further afield, one hours scenic drive east will bring you to Eyemouth on the Scottish Borders coast and one hour in-land to West Linton golf course which are both well worth the journey.
A day trip to the famous links courses of East Lothian is also very possible as all these courses are only a one hour drive away including Gullane, North Berwick, The Glen, Archerfield, The Renaissance, Muirfield and Luffness.
The best golf driving range locally is at Synton Mains, Ashkirk, TD7 4PA. This is also a great activity for adults and children on a wet day!
